here it is:

David J Murphy - Zombies! (http://www.davidjmurphy.net/downloads/DavidJMurphy-Zombies!.mp3)

this song is semi-experimental :D

i'd call it "a heavy-handed metal-massacre, yet tongue-in-cheek b-movie horror-tale about destructively blind followers of organized religion." :D

enjoy!

tell me what you think i can do better, or what sucks etc

thanks

The recording is pretty good, much better than others I have heard in the last hour. And yeah the mix is really nice.

Firstly I have to say I cant stand songs with these kind of lyrics. I don't mean to cause offence, but are the lyrics supposed to be tongue and cheek?

The music is pretty rockin, and the vocals are pretty good also. Its hard to find flaw really. Perhaps you could have done something to add more density to the vocals at the start, but really its nit picking. I actually really like it! Where can I hear more, you may just have converted me.

the lyrics.. yeah. .. i might need to make them a little more comedic hahah..

well actually the LYRICS are supposed to be quite jabbing ... but the style of the song is supposed to give it a little humor to lighten things up heheh. because no matter how serious you are, some people don't want to take you seriously... so i'm trying to give room for both here...

as for my other songs, i've posted some of them in this forum, but you can also go here:

davidjmurphy.net (http://www.davidjmurphy.net/) :)

There are full quality mp3s of all my latest preview tracks (preview for upcoming album) .. and lower-quality mp3 samples of songs from my CD that's out (great songs, but i didn't know as much about recording and mixing back then eheh).

I'm glad you like my stuff man!!!! :D

rock and roll!

Edit: My previous post made not sense.

Haha, it think its great. I originally thought you were going for some big scary black metal track and had by accident made something funny. I like the lyrics. Zombies are funny no matter what the occasion.

It sounds like you were high on shrooms when you made this song. I like it, its badass. It sounds like Rob Zombie (probably what you were aiming for). The guitar is very original, heavy, in an odd key, the intro reminds me of Symptom of the Universe by Black Sabbath...Nicely done...

I think it sounded more like the devil-guy from Garden of Allah. Or more like a metal Vincent Price. That was a very fitting and original voice for the track.:thumb:

I did enjoy it! LOL

Hah! I knew it! Vincent Price was the guy from Thriller. ;)

I think you need some truly maniacal laughter to top off your tune.
