what is the highest quality cable you guys have found? i want to upgrade all of the cables in my rack to the highest quality possible. i have had limited experience with different brands of cables. what would you consider the best?

i think custom made cables would give the best quality sound but ive never used them

i havnt tried them but Monster do some really good cables. well i would hope so if one 6 meter lead is £100.

i dont know but it mite be because monster make up lots of names like 'MicroFiber®' and MultiTwist™'. then they can charge lots of money

thats a hell of a lot for a cable, i use planet waves and im happy with them, cant help much more than that dont have much experience with different brands

Not that much really =\. They do make a bit of a difference, but EQ, bass woods, settings blah blah can cover up a bad cable.
I bought one of the cheap monster cables (about 20 dollars, or £12) and it is a great cable. I'd reccomend one definetely.

yeah i wouldnt mind some monster cables but i cant really afford to get them. lol

from what they are saying it makes the tone from the bass get to the recording unit without loosing any of the frequencys fromt he EQ. i think lol

I like Livewire cables.... havent failed me yet

Planet Waves cables are the best I've tried, and they're all I use now.
Mine get a lot of interference oddly enough. My cheaper cables don't.

yes but monster cables have a lifetime warranty. if it ever stops working, just bring it to a guitar center or mail it to them and you get a brand new cable. you never have to buy cables again unless you need more.

Not true really, unless you've got an onboard preamp or a buffer.
The capacitance of the cord has a pretty big effect on passive basses.

that is highly unlikely though since so many people use them.
including me! monster ftw! (i use their 12ft bass cable mostly)
