so i got a 6 inch Holz for my bass drum, i proceeded to take the head off, clean it, and take an X-acto knife and tried to use the Holz as a diagram. Only problem is i was tracing the wrong side...... so it almost worked until i realized it wasn't going to snap on the other side, so i had to cut more... in the process above the hole it started to tear away. Eventually i got it snapped together but it was loose as hell and i KNEW it was going to rattle off, so i got out my trusty duct tape, taped the back to my head and put it back on my bass. LOOKS SURPRISINGLY GOOD, it's chrome and i'll put some pics up, the only noticable thing is the small tear line above it. FROM THE INSIDE, it's a different story, oblong hole and duct taped, very ghetto. But it looks good from the front and stays in place perfectly!
