Aren't DR Hi Beam (45 65 85 105 125) too thing for tuning down one step ? Especially the B string.
I have a Warwick Streamer LX . I think the scale is 34"
If these aren't suitable for down tuning, what do you recommend ?
would definetly say so especially on the B, you will need something with a heavier guage, onlong the lines of 0.135 for the B if not more.
The fact that you are on a 34 scale is also not going to work in your favour as the lower you try to go in tuning the higher the guage you will need and the bigger your scale will need to
Edit: Quick question. Are you downtuning for band purposes i.e. your guitarists are down tuning and think you should, or are you just wanting to experiment. If its the former then tell them to sod off.
