at the moment ive only got a normal electric bass
but im eventually gunna get a double bass

For double bass, you might want to go to TalkBass.com. They have a double bass forum. There are like five people here who even play one.

It's "double" bass... And it's not called a slap bass. There's a hundred and one names for it, but that is not one of them.

TalkBass.com would be your best bet. There's a whole forum with subforums dealing with every aspect of the double bass.
