ok im considering getting either the AAXplosion crash pack 15 17 A custom crashes or paiste 2002 16 18 medium crashes which would be the best bang for the buck

if you get the A customs dont get 15 and 17. unless youre using the 17 as a main and 15 as an effects. I would get the AAXplosion crash pack.

Paiste 2002 18'' and Zildjian 16'' A custom. A customs are airy, I'd suggest but apperantly the people here say they're the same thing as A customs which they aren't and they still don't like them even though they're cheaper.

There are no "best cymbals." All companies make some great cymbals, and in the end, it all comes down to preference.

I have a 17" A Custom Projection and love it, It really slices through the music (IMO 17" is the perfect size for them)

To the TS: I'd say A Customs out of them. Best bang for buck IMO.

Paiste's are actually cheaper now.. Their entry-line cymbals, like PST5 and 802's, sound great (except the 302's, which I think are out of production). Maybe Paiste set a price curve, Sabian and Zildjian have become more expensive than most Paiste cymbals. Go with Paiste...

^PST5s are definatly some of the sickest starter cymbals out there, amazing, i think it's thugsrook who has full set of them, if it is, i couldn't tell ya, because i think they are set too high up in the atmosphere
