He just inhereted a '71 P Bass and an Ampeg SVT with 2 8x10 cabs by Ashdown.

I'm sooo jealous.

What's the most jealous you've ever been of a friend's rig?

My teacher has 2 Ampeg-SVT 8x10 cabs. He has a Premiere Edition Ampeg-SVT Pro head that only 250 were made. He has a DBX compressor, and multpile effects in his rackspace. He has a Peavey 2x15 and Crate 2x15 behind the drummer, he says that he doesnt really care about his tone back there, its just for the drummer to hear him. He has an Alembic bass.

His guitar rig includes 12 Marshall 4x12 and two JCM-800 Marshall heads. He has a 12-space rack full of effects. Also has a line 6 and a Roland floor MIDI-selector. He has over 20 Custom Shop Fenders and JAckson. He also owns a surf-green 80's Carvin.

EDIT: It is 4x12 Whorrid, sorry I didn't notice that.

i'm jealous of all the guys in my old band.

since i left all of them have like completely pro gear. They all have full stacks, the drummer's kit is complete (and huge, we call it the death star). Their new bassist has an Ampeg SVT head, with a 4x12 cab and the 1x15, and it sounds freakin great.

I'm not jealous of my friends' gear, but I am jealous that my friend is amazing on guitar.

I wouldn't be jealous of him. If he inherited it, that means someone close to him died. Not something to be jealous of. Show a little compassion you bastard!

Haha joking. I wouldn't mind a 71 P-Bass.

well, i suppose if i paid that much for a peice of wood, i wouldnt want to even consider thinking about putting it in danger of being dented or scratched.

I'm actually the one with the best equipment out of all my friends. But they spend their money on other things.

I want an actual head and cabinet instead of a combo. I'm not really jealous about it, but there are two other bassists I hang out with a lot that have them (a Hartke stack and an Ampeg half-stack). There is the fact that my one band's relatives buy all their gear (Crate Blue VooDoo Half-Stack, Carvin guitar, Vintage Ludwig kit w/all sorts of nice crap, Ampeg Half Stack, Fender Jazz, a keyboard), but once again I'm not really jealous. I don't see a point in it.

I'm jealous of my guitarist's semi hollow PRS guitar and Vox 2x12 combo. I just wish he gave a **** about practicing and playing well.

The only person I'm jealous of is my teacher who is the original owner of an all original '63 sunburst Fender Pbass and he has a couple awesome double basses.

They are 4x12, I thought I put that, thanks.:p Yeah he uses two heads in his guitar rig because he likes playing in stereo. All I can say is that it is really loud.

Who the **** is he?
He actually was in a few bands that did pretty well for themselves in L.A. during the 80's metal scene.

I meet up with him on Thursday, I'll make sure to get the names. They seemed familiar to me. The only one I can honestly remember is "Metalwolf".

Nope, Jay B. Jans the guitar player. He played guitar in most of those bands.

He was in "Wolvz" who were pretty popular in the East. Metalwolf was formed out of that band.

The guy I bought my guitar off I became quite good friends with, his was guitar stuff though, but it was a Line 6 SpiderII head, Orange 4x10 cab. More effects pedals than you could shake a stick at.

My buddy has a platinum Elrick Bass and a marshall half-stack. The half-stack is no huge deal to me, but the Elrick pisses me off when I hear it's beautiful tone wasted on punk rock.

The time my friend got a Fender 72 jazz at a tagsale for 100, then his boss gave him a sunn 810.
