I don't see why this thread is illegal, its just naming fast bands. Im just gonna throw Nile out there. Alot of their stuff is real fast.

pretty much any DragonForce, other than the ballads.
some Iron Maiden is actually pretty fast, if you're talking about the drumming.
Angra - Angels and Demons is pretty quick.

Doom isn't supposed to be fast. Slower the better. It sounds better when it's slow, sluggish, and stuff like that.

So I don't know if you were to speed doom metal up, it probably wouldn't sound like doom metal anymore.

I'll have to say Dragonforce ftw. They are insane.

Nile has alot of really fast riffage. I'm learning Lashed To The Slave Stick and that's pretty damn fast. Not hard though.

Necrophagist is very fast.
