Im sure this has been done before..but who here likes God Forbid. I Defiently do they are now my #1 favorite band.:thumb:

God Forbid kick total ****ing ***, Constitution of Treason is a great new album by them, and Gone Forever was just as great. However, I'm quite disappointed at their video for "The Fallen Hero", its just horrible. But Doc and Dallas can ****ing shred!

I'm not really into the metalcore vocals but the guitarwork and songwriting are excellent. I have three of their albums and they all get high marks for musicianship.

Someone should do a write-up!

If they stuck to clean vocals what genre would they be considered?

I'm not a huge fan of the music, or metalcore in general, but I do admit, they are talented musicians.

****in' love them. I've seen them once when they were touring with Machine Head. They were awesome. I have all their albums. Determination is probably my favourite album.

i downloaded Antihero from Gone Forever and i cannot stop listening to it. It is awesome. and i dont say awesome. ever. Cant wait till the daily upload uploads the whole album.

I only listened to Gone Forever and Constitution of Treason. I really enjoyed both albums. The only thing that slightly ruins it for me is the vocals.However, it's not that bad to make me stop listening to them.

They'd be the same genre. Just because one aspect is changed it doesn't really put them in a whole different genre.

God Forbid are very good. Seeing them supporting Trivium in two weeks. My favourite songs are 'Gone Forever', 'To the fallen hero', Chains of Humanity', 'Determanation prt 1', Anti-hero, The end of the world.

Amazing band. Constitution of Treason has awesome guitar work and the concept is pretty good.

All the albums are great, Constitution was great, seems a little odd is came out only a year after Gone Forever. Determination was my favorite CD, and "Divide My Destiny" is probably my all time favorite song

Tolerable band....like the guitar work, not really sure on the clean vocals by the guitarists.....they sound like they are singing flat to me.

I only have Constitution Of Treason. Its pretty good but nothing outstanding. I really dont like their vocalist. Sometimes his screams just come across as pointless and just annoys me.

I seen them supporting Trivium last week and I have to say I was very impressed. Only have one album, but after that performance, I may get into them more.

The new CD has great guitar and drum work, but I have to say I like the older stuff like Better Days alot more.

Determanation is the best. Then Chains of Humanity then Gone Forever. Gone Forever is one of my favourite tracks though.

seen them live and they seriously kick *** im listening to the fallen hero right now its great. has any one read the write up on them in metal hammer seems like theyre putting all there bets on there next album and they dont feel theyre getting the recognition they deserve mayb theyre a bit pissed of that b4mv etc are doing so well after 1 album and theyve had like 8 havent they anyway just thought id say they pwn

Im not a fan of their new album....Gone Forever was nice though

Has anyone noticed how the first song on their new album is exactly like the first song on triviums Acendency. Both are instrumentals...

I like them all :)

I don't mind IV, clean vocals can sound nice...

They are good, indeed.

Seen them once with Machine Head, and once again with The Haunted. They were better with The Haunted as it was a much smaller venue etc.

Their albums aint half bad either :)

i saw chimaira last week with nevermore arch enemy and hate eternal. NM was the only band that had a rotating spot

Saw them live with Machine Head and they did pretty well. Anti-hero is a "rollercoaster of good riffs" as a buddy of mine described it, and I would be inclined to agree.

I'm quite offended by Necronomicon's avatar. but for the purpose of the thread, i saw God Forbid open for Anthrax and as soon as i got home i made it a priority to download their stuff. they're pretty neat. i like them a lot.

Seriously people, if you think God Forbid is amazing, you should just check out something like Darkest Hour or All That Remains, both are kinda similar but a whole lot less bland.

By no means are God Forbid amazing. All that remains and Darkest hour aren't that much better from what i've heard anyway.

All That Remains isn't. Darkest Hour is very close to amazing.

All That Remains can play their instruments very well indeed, I like them much more in some ways...but same with Darkest Hour
