Hmm that looks like a bit of a poorly equipped model (maybe an old Performer model ?). One pickup and passive ? Not really what i'd consider a normal Spector. It might be fairly decent, but I expect very limited on sound.

Haha, was hoping you'd see this thread.
A one trick pony you would say? Are the neck profiles on Spectors mostly the same? If so what do they compare to?

it doesnt even look like the normal spector body. it looks like somebody made a body and slapped a spector neck on it.

It looks like a 90's Spector. One of the cheaper ones. I'm not sure though. GO to the spector website and check out their history thing. I remember seeing a bass like that on their site.
As for necks, I've found to different kinds. One that's pretty flat and slim, but wide. And the other one is very jazz like in my opinion.
Good basses, but I'm not sure that one will do it justice.

Ok, I think in summary we can say it should be decent because it's a Spector, but since it's a bit of a budget and featureless version, you might not like it. I wouldn't like a bass with only one pickup... unless it's a Stingray.
EDIT: After looking on http://www.spectorbass.com/NewFiles/modelhistory.html , it looks as if it may be an NS-2000B.
Specs:
Bolt-on flat body version of NS-20004 body shape
1 x humbucker, passive
Produced: 1997-1998
RRP: $479
This makes it a VERY cheap model. If you really want a decent Spector, then I think you should go for at least a Legend model.

Doesnt look like it will be up to much tbh. I remember some of the euro series Spectors being good, try one of those.
