I think the're a great band and very impressive instrumentally. At first I couldn't stand the singers voice but i'm used to it now.

I HATE the vocals, the guitar rules though.

why do you think they are bad? what don't you liek about them
Personally, when I heard stuff of their old album I wasn't all that impressed, but then I heard the Kezia, and WOW
It's almost like musical perfection to my ears, everything else I listen to just seems so boring now

I love them.
I can see how others would hate them though, but eh, their choice.

I call them.....
mehcore.
Those new bands that come out where on part (guitars, in this case) kick *** but other things don't (vocals, in this case).

They play around my city often, considering they're from around here. Personally I like the instrumentals, but like everyone else, I can't stand the guy's voice. But I guess I respect them, they're good at what they do. So whatever, keep on truckin'

I guess I can understand why people wouldn't like his voice, maybe. I personally really enjoy it. On their older stuff I can't say I was the biggest fan. But I think his voice has really improved on Kezia

They seem very generic today. Like alot of these new "hardcore" bands coming out of Canada.

They don't play hardcore though. There was some hardcore in them before, but I really wouldn't say there's any hardcore in "Kezia". They're very much not a generic metalcore band.
I love Protest the Hero, as y'all probably can tell from my review of "A Calculated use of Sound" on sputnik.

Generic compared to what? If there is other stuff out there that sounds like Kezia I would like to hear it...

the only "new hardcore" band I like has to be comeback kid, they're pretty catchy. I was thinking about picking up their cd but i'm a bit iffy about it.
vocals are completely terrible. if they had a semi-decent vocalist they'd be an ok band

CBK is pretty good. I like a lot of modern hardcore though.

everyone who complains about his voice:
have you heard anytihng off the new album or are you basing your opinion on their old stuff?
He's pretty grating and high-pitched on the new album. I like it, but I know that lots upon lots of people don't (same people who can't stand bands like Choke, or Coheed and Cambria for the very same reason).

the rest is good
the vocals ruin it for me
I love them, I saw them live at a local club around the time when they broke out.

Somebody should really tell them that their singer sucks. It doesnt suit the style at all well.
The singer should leave and join some **** emo pop band and the rest should find someone with a bit more anger in his voice.

Just to bump this up, if anyone else happens to be basing ANY of their position about PTH off of a song that was made before Kezia, then you aren't really basing your opinion off of PTH at all. Because they sound like an entirely different band.
I actually listened to colours don't run today, and WOW that really is some ****ty vocals. Kezia is easily 100000000000000000000000000x better
