I think i've found out why john bonham and keithmoon were some badass, limit setting, *** kicking drummers here. it's the drugs!

I've gotten my teeth pulled today at 8:30 in the morning (wisdom teeth)

and they gave me a nice ol prescription of happy happy go lucky no pain vicodin.

well i took the reccomend dosage, and feeling kinda strung out, i started to play some fun stuff in 6/8 and it sounded damn good but alas, as soon as it started to wear off my gums hurted like a mofo and i stopped and lost it. =(

currently waiting for the time for my second dose~

it was more alcahol than drugs for bonham and moon tho.. they both drank themselves to death.

Hint: It's not just the drugs :)

Besides, Bonham didn't get into "heavy drugs" (heroin, etc.) 'till later in his career, he just drank and smoked a joint just like everyone else. And he did Moby Dick in '69, not to mention everything else. I think Moon started using all that junk pretty early though :)

trust me heavy drug doseage does not give you a better ability to play. i should know :lol:

i really don't think it was anything too spectacular. since you were feeling a bit under the influence you just think it was good. probably nothing too different from what you play normally

So if I offer the audience some drugs at the door, they'll all thing I'm a drum God even though I suck? Hoorah! :D

How 'bout keeping it clean and getting plenty of exercise and sleep combined with healthy eating habits? Might improve your playing more than drugs....

Drugs ****s up your playing ability, but yeha when you high you think you sound awsome...Why do you think so many peolle smoke pot at concerts?

I think the drugs still have their effect on you

How 'bout keeping it clean and getting plenty of exercise and sleep combined with healthy eating habits? Might improve your playing more than drugs....

Actually, Moon died from an overdose on the pills he was taking to control alcoholism.

The drugs he used the most were amphetamines, tranquilizers, and stuff like that. He was never really into cocaine and heroin like Townshend was.
