i just bought several new parts for my pearl forum set:
i already have a set of evans g2 genera for my toms and floor tom.
heads:
14" remo emperor coated batter head
22" remo powerstroke 3 clear bass drum head with dot
cymbals:
13" sabian AA regular hi hats
16" Sabian AA medium crash
17" sabian AA thin crash

i have done some research on these parts. so far, they go with my preference and my abilities. plus i need advice on cymbal stands that arent pricey but will do the job. so waddya all think?

for cheap but strong cymbal stands you could check out dixon or trak...i got a trak boom stand for 40 bucks and its holding up well...though i havent tried to hang much off it...just a ride and china...

I'm liking my PS3, nice boomy sound. I have a 10inch snare with an emporor on it, and I like it, I heard ambassadors were better though. Iron Cobra Jr....Just save up for Iron Cobra Sr. :p

I have the IC Jrs, they're not bad at all, great for the price. The only read difference is that they're not quite as adjustable as the regular ICs.

only thing i'd suggest is that you ditch that coated emperor on your snare and get yourself a coated ambassador -- a 2ply head on snare really chokes the life outta your snare sound!

I use Tama Roadpro cymbal stands, and I like them, good quality imo. $35 a stand isn't a bad price either.
