I am considering buying this kit for my next kit and was just wondering if anyone owned one or had played one and how the kit was?(sound, hardware, etc.) It will be a while before i buy a kit and I will defininetly try it out to see if I like it, but I was just wondering what some other peoples opinions were on it.

I've never played on a kit but they are PDP's highest line of drum sets so they must be really good... PDP makes some great kits :thumb:

just get a cx. its cheaper. Its the same thing. THe only difference is that youre paying that much for the finish. Unless you want to pay that much more for a finish thats up to you. THe shells are the same and so is teh mounting hardware. If you buy the complete kit there are hardware upgrades from teh 800 to 900 but thats it.

I personally dont like the LXE finish. If your willing to pay the extra like $500 or whatever it is cuz you like the finish, go ahead.

I think the newer one, with the birdseye maple veneer and tobacco burst, is a lot nicer. It also has 10 lugs on the bass drum and snare

Oh yeah. I forgot they upgraded all the lines again. I bet the MXR is awesome. I have the have the 5-piece FXR and I couldn't be happier.
