LoudQUIETLoud: A Film about Pixies

I was just at the world premiere showing and can guarantee you guys are going to absolutely adore it. The director graduated from my university so the showing tonight was the absolute second, as the band themselves saw it a month ago. It's officially debuting at South by Southwest pretty soon, and I'd suggest searching it out.

The movie is a chronicle of the band in 2004 as they were doing the very first part of the reunion, and is really meant to show how normal the guys are. They have struggles (drugs and alcohol are players in the film), but they get through them and do a successful tour.

The concert scenes are freaking spiffy, too.

I didn't actually know about this, but it sounds good to me. I'm always really interested in insights to bands I like, I read a lot of biographies and really enjoyed Some Kind Of Monster (even though it was funny in a pathetic sort of way). I guess this will be my sort of thing.
