This may seem like a rediculous thread, but it's been on my mind all day.

How many artists can you think of that believe they came from another planet?

So far I have:
Question Mark (as in question mark and the mysterians)
Sun Ra
Kool Keith

I thought of Ace from KISS, but then I realized that he only thought he was abducted.

Yeah, it's sure hard to believe that a white guy could play black people's music! He must be some sorta freaky ET ****!

Anyway, these people are bizarre enough to make a little more sense:

Frank Zappa
Mike Patton
Les Claypool
Buckethead
Buzz Osbourne
Jimi Hendrix
Jaco Pastorius

Dave de Sylvia

David Bowie.

The only one that came to mind for me was Sun Ra, as well.

...and Alien Ant Farm.

Haha, actually I only said that because of Men in Black.

They're bizarre enough to make sense, sure, but do any of them really believe it? I know Zappa doesn't. Nor does Mike Patton or Les Claypool.

Buckethead wouldn't shock me, though.

Jimi Hendrix music was projected out into space, if that counts for anything.

Although they were born of this earth, Cedric Bixler and Omar Rodriguez were abducted by aliens sometime in 2001 and the resulting trauma prompted them to form The Mars Volta.

The ship that took them in looked exactly like the one on the cover of Boston's debut album (including the band name). It was built by the band on their home world to train Earth musicians in the ways of creating the most overblown, pompous, INSANE rock possible.

No YOU come on. Look at that album cover and tell me that isn't a perfectly accurate representation of what they could do!

They claim to be descended from aliens stranded in Antarctica, sent here to sexually enslave the human race. So, yeah, I'd agree.

Thank You. Yeah G.G. Allin was one of those guys who is most likely in hell right now getting burnt to a crisp and is actually enjoying it. He was one of the most foul, most disturbing, most disgustiong men of all time. My manager actually had a chance to see him in concert. He said it was just completely out of control. But thank you on the Wesley Willis (R.I.P. Vampire Bat, R.I.P.)

And sometimes I think Andre 3000 is an alien, but then I'm reminded and reassured that he is most definitely from the ATL.
