I bought a Fender Deluxe 90 DSP a while back, and I have been trying to get a good distortion sound. I also bought a boss distortion pedal hoping to give the amp a nice distortion sound with the overdrive that it has. I can't seem to get the two to go together nicely. Does anybody have some advice?

Dont run a SS pedal into the drive channel of an SS amp. It just doesnt work. Either get another pedal (this one for higher gain sounds), a booster (to increase the gain going into your pedal) or an EQ pedal with a gain boost (Good for changing your EQ along with adding gain, I recommend MXR 10-Band)

Is there a way to get a heavy distorted sound using the clean channel and pedal or just by using the drive channel?
