hi.
this is aaron here. if you've checked our website lately, you'd know that we, grandaddy, are a band no longer. sorry to let you know like this, by impersonal myspace bulletin, as i'd rather we met up at a backyard barbecue so we could trade stories and soforth.
it's been a good run and we thank all of you for the support you've shown us and all the good times on the road. i know we've met up with lots of you folks out there on tour and it's pretty incredible to think of the hospitality and conversation we've shared throughout the years. we'll miss seeing you out there very much.
for a while, our beloved crew member bon and i have tried to answer myspace queries and concerns, but the messages have really been piling up and i don't think we'll ever get through them. sorry about that. we'll keep trying for a little while and then i guess i'll be retiring from here. so if we don't get to yours, forgive us.
we're going to put out a few more exclusive shirts on insound.com until the new record comes out. we've been doing a new one every month for about 5 months now and i guess we'll have maybe 2 or 3 more after this one. not to alarm you, but there probably won't be too many grandaddy shirts after these ones are made as we're not touring anymore, so if you like tshirts with grandaddy logos on them, it might be your last chance.
sorry if our lifespan didn't last as long as you or we had hoped. we tried for a long, long time but swimming upstream for that amount of time is quite tiring. so we go.
