dead notes

I'm tyring to expand my slapping style, and jw if I'm doing dead notes correctly...you just kinda hold your finger over the string like a harmonic and slap?

somewhat. When I do dead notes, I used two or more fingers to mute the harmonic if one would normally be created, or I use the heel of my right hand to mute the string.

Yeah i find it safer to do both to be 100% that the harmonic dosent come out...

I use two fingers or one finger and the palm of my hand to mute harmonics.

I love accidentally slapping a harmonic.

I just lay my whole hand flat over the fretboard and slap/pop...works for me and I like the sound better.
