One of my friends, friend is selling all of his stuff and he is selling a carvin r1000 and a carvin 4 10". My question is has anyone played one of these and are they any good? The thing is that this will go quick and I really have no money and would have to sell some things and I can't play the stack because it's in Arkansas and I'm in Kansas. Ive heard mixed reviews of Carvin amps, and the Harmony Central reviews seem to agree. http://www.harmony-central.com/Bass/Data/Carvin/R1000_Bass_Head-1.html

But for that price, who cares. Id go for it.

In all honesty, that's a pretty good deal. If you don't like the sound you get out of it, you can sell it and make some cash.

when u get a deal like that u have to jump on it, thats the one time i ignore the general "try before buy" rule. i jumped on my current amp cuz i got an awsome deal from Ian and i havent regretted it for a second. (thanks again bud :thumb:) ive already had inquiries about buying it and ive been offered more than i payed for for each piece.
