My brother installed this new Nero CD burning program on our computer, and now all my music files have this wierd new icon. They still open with the same program, only the icon has changed. How can I change it back?

don't know, ask vince, he might know, but I know how you feel, I have two brothers, both older than me, and they overpower me, but yeah, ask vince, he's smart at that kind of stuff

What media player do you use?
Try the settings there, failing that, set program access and defaults? I don't really know, it's nothing that important though, it's just an icon.

I use WMP.
Right click on your songs, and go to properties. Where it says Open With, click on it and choose the program you want to open it with.

No, it still opens with WMP, it just has the wrong icon.
Just do that. It should fix it.

There's nothing called "tools" when I open My Computer.
There's nothing called Customize when I open my properties.
Well, then just learn to like it?
I know that used to happen to me back when I used WMP, but it always changed back eventually. It never bothered me though.

If that seriously bothers you, then you have a problem.

Dumb question....
Why the hell would you have a problem with Nero?
I have Nero Enterprise ED 7 and I love it.
It's just an icon. Big whoop.
Beat me to it, I was gonna say that.
As long as the music plays, I don't see what so bad, your listening to it, not watching the icons.

You don't see file, edit, view, favorites, tools, and help under the titlebar when you open my computer?

That reminds me of the time I downloaded a Chip's Challenge level editor. It stored levels as .DAT files, so basically all my important system files had a funny little Chip icon. Freaking awesome.
