Yeah Trick strainers are the best in the business.

Good purchases, although I can't say I like the wraps on the snare.

Well to be fair, AFAIK no other company has bothered to manufacture a snare strainer in the class as Trick. Trick Strainers have more 'features' (so to speak) than other strainers, and that reflects in the price - Trick strainers are way more expensive than any other on the market. Most custom drum companies like OCDP use trick strainers. I'd argue that if price didnt't come into it, they are "the" best. But as they're so expensive, I wouldn't.

So How's Your UD Drum Coming Out?

He is just waiting for some back ordered lugs for the kick drum and it's done. Should be able to get in in a week or so.

As far as pics of the new stuff well.............there is no drums right now but I could take a pic of whats there......it would be funny

Digging your BELL set * ahem * That's killer;). Well Good Luck. I assume the drums going to be the same finish as the snare?

The snare was just a pickup because it was a good deal and something I was looking for as an option.

This is the snare drum I got made ahead of the kit

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b191/cky49/DSCN1153.jpg

The kit will be midnight blue sparkle with black hardware so the snare drums might not match but at least I have options.

PS3 On the batter head is it FleP? Cool, How does it sound? Or do you plan on replacing it. What type of musique do you play?

FL3P

P3s are somewhat dead but I like them for that dry fat sound. I have a CS on it right now but I change my mind daily and use different heeads on different drums all the time. I play in a poprock sort of band and a more experimental rock band which is my main one.

I see. Well No Objection, I assume you need that fat pop sound in your R&B's and PopRock etc. Looks nice.

Its what he called laminate ply where you get the artwork scanned nto laminate and then cover the drum. he was trying to come up with a cheaper way to get custom artwork and I was the guinea pig haha.

I dont know how much a trick would set someone back but I think that there are about 4 Strainers which are considered to be the best on the market ATM:
Dunnett R-Class (I have one on my oak stave and its very very nice) This is the replacement for the nickleworks which had problems with breakages i belive
Nickleworks (starting to fade a bit i think)
Ego
Trick

Just my point of view.

I have a nickelworks on my Udrum snare and it's great. The problem with the breakages was due to the fact that they were using plastic clamps to hold the nylon or string in place. Thay now use steel instead.

thats the easiest shiznit ever!!!

F starts on 1 on the flat side then goes clockwise:
FCGDAEB F# G# (Father Charles Goes Down And Ends Battle)

Then counter clockwise from 2 on the flat side it goes
BEADGC (all flat) (Battle Ends And Down Goes Charles)
^^^Thats for the majors

Minors are pretty much the same i think except f starts on 4 on the flat side

yea, i just printed out a sheet with all the order, and what scale has what flats and all that, but i now have 5 days to learn it, and i'm barely gonna be home, i'm just gonna have to memorize it in my head mostly
