Well, the guide has been ready for a while now, thought I'd notify you guys. There are pics of finished drums at the bottom of the page. Bass drum and floor tom are underway, I should have them ready in a week or something. More pics then.

Is it possible to spray graphics straight onto a drum without doinf al the other stuff first?

That looks awesome! Great work :thumb:. Really makes me wanna refinish my Exports. Don't you need to put some type of clear coat on afterwards?

Answers:

Nothing stops you from just painting stripes or something on your drums, but don't expect the results will be that good.

About clearcoat: It's better to give the drums a clearcoat after the base colors. If you want a really high-gloss finish, it's a hard and you'll need very expensive equipment. I gave the drums 2-3 coats of Metal Flake Lacquer spray. That wasn't hard, but the result isn't very glossy, but I'm satisfied with it. I call the finish "black and white striped sparkle".
