O.K. so i have a earl All-Birch-Shell set from the mid 90's. I am looking to get rid of it. Only problem is, i cant find any info on it. So suggestions would be helpful on a selling price....

Its a pro level set, brought out with the masters custom, which is maple. The BRX, MRX and MMX lines have pretty much established themselves as Pearls bread-and-butter pro set since their inception, which by memory was somewhere in the early 90's.

why do you want to get rid of it?

despite being Pearl, it is a pretty nice set.

And Damo, when are you getting your Sonors? Are you getting an SQ2 now?

No, decided against the SQ2 - Theyve dropped some features on the SQ2 that I really liked on the Designers, mostly to do with the mounting systems.

Could it have been one of the other Birch series (like in the session line) and not the BRX?

The BRX's (Master's Studio) were introduced at the Winter NAMM (called Studio Masters Extra) in 1999. They were sort of the red-headed step-child back then -- No optimounts (ISS), No die-cast hoops (super hoops -- woo-woo).

Do you have pix of one of the badges? That will help in narrowing down the manufacture date so you can price it accordingly.
