Rhapsody
Recommended songs:
Eternal Glory
Emerald Sword
Dawn of Victory
Rain of a Thousand Flames
Holy Thunderforce
Power of the Dragon Flame
Wisdom of the Kings
About two months ago King of Terrors hooked me up with a Rhapsody song and recommended me Symphony of Enchanted Lands. As soon as I heard “Eternal Glory” I was hooked. They were like no other band I had heard, so much to offer the potential power metal fan. Their music sends off a powerful medi evil vibe with great melodies with a strong Symphonic background.
Discography:
Legendary Tales (1997)
Symphony of Enchanted Lands (1998)
Dawn of Victory (2000)
Rain of a Thousand Flames (2001)
Power of the Dragon Flame (2002)
The Dark Secret EP (2004)
Their latest release:
Symphony of Enchanted Lands II – The Dark Secret

I hope you are making a bad joke with the spelling of medieval.
And yes, Rhapsody are a great band. Especially in the symphonic side of things, but I do think other Power Metal bands offer a better presentation.
Rhapsody rule. Anyone heard Live in Canada? It really makes me wish I could see them live but apparently they won't play the UK.

Rhapsody are one of my favourite power metal bands. I really liked the Dark Secret Live in Canada, makes me want to see them live really badly.

Theyre really a love/hate band. I love them, but I know a lot of people that cant stand them.
They got me into power metal.Utterly amazing.Fabio Lione is a great singer and Luca Turilli a great guitarist.Truly brilliant musicians.

Probably my favorite Power Metal group. I have all of their albums, besides "Dawn of Victory". I like everyone I have equally as well. Great band, with a great theme!

And yeh, it did take me a little while to get over their cheeze, but now I love it. Power Metal bands have to be cheezy to be good:eek:

Get Dawn of Victory or Symphony of Enchanted Lands they're the two best by far. If you can only get one then get Dawn of Victory.

Yeah Dawn of Victory owns, best songs off it are Dawn of Victory, Holy Thunder Force and my all time favourite Rhapsody song Triumph for my Magic Steel.

To pick "THE" best Rhapsody album, i'd cut it down to either "Legendary Tales" or "Symphony of Enchanted Lands". Though anyone Rhapsody album is a good bet, you can't go wrong.

I remember when I first discovered these guys, it was their guitar solos that make me make a thread about them. :)
Dawn of Victory I think is my fav.

Yah, I read an interview where he says that he doesn't even regard himself as a guitarist, because he does something else...or something like that.
Weird.

Rhapsody = ungodly. Great, great use of orchestration, excellent riffs, everything you could want out of a power metal band.
All you have to do now is shoot the narrator.

Yeah, I always skip the track before "Eternal Glory". I love the spoken part in "Rain of a Thousand Flames" though. :)

So has anyone seen the dvd thing that comes with "The Dark Secret"?
I think the video is awesome, but the "saga" thing is so terribly bad

The dude that sounds like he is from LOTR?
Yeah. I agree.
He is from Lord of the Rings kinda. It's Christopher Lee who played Sauraman(sp?). Personally I think he is the funniest thing to ever happen to Rhapsody.
