Videogames I Should Buy

I am going out today and was thinking of getting 2 or 3 new games. I was thinking of getting some stuff along the lines of Sports/Racing, Shooter, or Action/Adventure. Which games do you guys suggest I buy?

If you're at all a fan of the RPG genre, I'd seriously recommend Dragon Quest VIII. It's a really good game. It's a pretty light-hearted adventure though, so if you're really into Final Fantasy X, you might be a bit disappointed.

Dragon Quest VIII gets a 9/10 from me.

It's the best stealth action game and the most brutal/violent game I've ever played. It makes GTA VC look like preschooler shizzle.

EDIT: It's also the hardest. You'll get pissed and swear plenty.

I finally bought Resident Evil 4 (like a year after beating the game but whatever...) 20$ at EB (previously enjoyed or however they say it) :cool:

Get Raw vs. Smackdown 2 (or smackdown vs. raw 2 I'm not sure) It kicks ***, I haven't enjoyed watching wrestling in a long game but this game is damn fun/funny to play with friends. Motion captured violence!11!!!!11

Ah well. Man, there were a bunch of great games out back then...and, at the risk of sounding like an old timer, "They just don't make 'em like they used 'ta!"

If you have any interest in reliving some good old memories, most of the sources for those old games have been released. Provided you still have their cds, you can download versions of the games that should play on windows xp, at much higher resolutions. Some games even have very big improvements over their older counterparts, most noteably Hexen. It has a mod out for it now that gives it a whole experience based system, complete with money, shops to buy stuff in, and battledamaged monster skins! Yaaay! Not to mention it's got lens flares, super high (compared to the original) graphic options, and many different resolutions. I'm sure that they've got new mods for Duke as well.

The updated sources of these classic games are really worth a look into if you've got the time.

I miss Duke so much! Multiplayer on the arena level was kickass, just firing rockets off into the darkness and then rubbing it right in your mates face when you splatter his sprite-based guts all over the shop. Then pressing the F-keys repeatedly until they got fed up and didn't wanna play any more...
