i assume it will be in stores within the next few months, probably before the summer, but i bet it will be fairly expensive, atleast $250 US, but it does look pretty nice, 14x8 kicks ***, and that snakeskin finish is cool. oh, and i see that is ur first post, welcome to MX, ur gonna have tons of fun here man

I think I heard its going to be around the same price as the Joey snare, so its not really expensive.
And I find it looks hideous. How much more hillbilly can you get? snake skin and spikes.

Yeah, there are many common crazy-looking finishes that I hate, but I've always liked the look of a nice dark snakeskin.

Isn't it like 14x8, or am I wrong?

go to pearls site, www.pearldrum.com unless they've changed it there is a pic of vinnie and the snare right on the front page. i imagine it will sound just like anyother 6ply 14x8 pearl snare, if there are any of those, but damn, that snakeskin is so cool

Nope, no one seems able to tell me the model. I even asked pearls snare expert and all he could tell me was its an 80's pro line model, most likely orchestral
