Just after the summer I posted a thread about modding my esp b-50 bass and after changing the finish I wanted to get rid of the stock pickups.

After a huge ordeal ordering them from a local shop I scrapped the idea. To get to the point I have a spare Seymour Duncan MM style pup that I'd like to add in the J spot on the bass and I was wondering how much work this actually involves.

Also I might add a series parallel switch specifically for that pickup so does anyone have a diagram??

To put a MM pick-up in the J position, it'd have to be routed out for the space needed. Wiring would be different because you're using a humbucker instead of a single coil pick-up as well. I'd try to work that out.

I haven't done it myself, but I'd say it takes a good amount of work and wood working skill to do and look good.

I'll probably start in a few weeks time when I'll more time to get it right, the equipment and done some more planning.
