i play alot of led zeppelin, Jimi hendrix, Classic rock tye of stuff... i have about 100$ saved and im looing to get a new pedal.. Heres what iw as thinking:
fuzz face dunlop
ibane tube screamer
blues driver
Or anythig else that wold sound like zeppelin or hendrix type of stuff... if anyone has any opinions on this lemme know.. im really confused as which to get... so either 1 of those 3 or a better pedal perhaps?
I reckon that Tube screamer is too heavy, that's rather for metal.
In case you mean the boss blues driver, don't get it, it ain't good.
I've heard a lot of good things about the dunlop fuzz face though, one of my mates has it, and he plays mainly blues and classic rock with it, and he absolutley loves it.
My vote goes out to the Fuzz Face.

The tube screamer =/= metal
It works for metal when you put it on top of an OD'd amp. But it can be used for lots of styles.

Tubescreamer by itself is pretty much a signature of the (distorted) electric blues guitar sound. Don't get a pedal. Save up for a small (like 5-10 watt) tube amp. That's the only way you'll get a realistic classic rock sound.

If you're set on a pedal, get the ProCo vintage rat. Trust me.
EDIT: I just noticed you said $100. So, I dunno then

It's perfect for classic rock/hard rock. There's the Rat, Rat 2, and Vintage Rat all made by ProCo. David Gilmour used one. The Vintage Rat is my favourite, but they're all good.

i havnt tried one of these but
I heard the Boss DS-1 is supposed to be a VERY good pedal and judging from people like joe sat and Steve vai who use them their tone is amazing
however
Do not get a pedal just because we said so and that other artists use them
the best thing u can do is go to the shop and try them urself there is no point in getting a pedal becuase WE like them its all about individuality

I find the DS-1 needs EQ pedals, compressor, and some other processing to make it sound really good.

Joe Satriani has the most processed tone ever though. Annnd I dunno anything about the Fuzz Face. You should try it!

I have a tubescreamer. The thing is, it's an overdrive pedal, not a distortion pedal. You'd probobly need pretty high output pickups to get a good distortion/Led Zeppelin tone with it on it's own.

Page did use a fuzz box, but keep in mind he didn't use it all the time. Also, the one he used was a Roger Mayer fuzz box, built in 1964 by a man who was working in the field of vibration and acoustic research, to aid with underwater warfare.

I don't know really, I imagine Page also used the amps natural distortion at times. You should just try out the Fuzz Face.

I have a TubeScreamer, and I use it over my tube amp's distortion for a gain boost. I can't really use it on it's own (I have medium output DiMarzio pickups wired in parallel) unless I want to play mellow electric blues. I've never tried a Fuzz Face in my life, so I can't really help you there.

I find my Boss SD-1 super overdrive pedal gets good Zep distortion through my Peavey 158 Rage Transtube. It might just be my combo though. I have an Epiphone Fat Strat.
