ok, so I'm looking at getting a multieffects processor perhaps, since I have a friend offering the line 6 bass pod and the case for only 350 USD, and he never really used it, so I'd be savign about 100 bucks.
so it's either the line 6 bass pod (i hear good stuff about it), or the boss GT-6B, which i know some people on here have and like it.
Or the other option was to keep the pedals I already have (Morley dual bass wah, boss BF-3 flanger, Boss CEB-3 chorus, boss ODB-3, boss LMB-3 compressor, and boss TU-2 tuner). If i got one of the floor processors, i'd sell the tuner and the compressor, and depending on how good the effects built in were, some of the others too.
so the reason the multi effects appeal to me is because of the amp modeling (especially in the line 6, which i hear are good), and they have a DI input, which is what I want for recording, etc.
so pretty much, do you think i should go multi-effect, and if so, which one do you think would be better (ignore the price between the GT-6B and the Line 6)

The effects in the gt6b are going to be close, but not as good as the ones you have. It does have some amp models, but for really good amp modeling, I'd go with the pod and keep your pedals.

yeah, the main "turn ons" for the pod are the getting it cheaper, and the amp modeling will help me with recording and stuff. I am planning on keeping my effects, the wah definitely, and the overdrive, flange, and chorus if they're better than the built in.
but yeah, i was pretty much gonna keep most of my pedals, and sell the compressor and tuner becaues i know the built in ones are better, and they'll help pay for the rest of what i need to buy it from my friend other than what i get back from taxes.
keep 'em coming... i guess this thread is now just how much better would the line 6 be than the boss GT-6B

i own the line 6 podxt live unit....i would highly recomend it....it is a very solid piece of equipment and can work very well in recording situations, even though i have yet to record with it, i have heard tons of positive remarks or its abilities. The modeling is very cool, you may not like the ams at first but eack amp comes with plenty of controls to tweak the sound....I highly recommend this

If you want multi effects you should check out the t. c. electronic M-ONE. Dual engine multi-effects processor and pretty good quality. But it's not a modeler.

For recording purposes I recommend the pod. In a live situation however, definately the GT-6. Personally I'd probably go for the GT-6 for versatility, the amp modelling will be decent and you can change presets and effects quickly and easily live with your foot. Not so with the pod, you can't change sounds or fx without buying an extra footpedal which can cost in the region of £80 so about $140 I think.
But since you have a solid array of pedals already I guess you would want something mainly for recording and the POD would be best. However, the GT-6 would save on carrying so much gear to gigs and cables.

cool
yeah, I was actually looking at the bass pod (the live one actually, so the same shape as the gt-6b), and it seems if you make your presets in advance you're good, but on the spot not so easily, and making changes. but for what i want it seems it'll work
thanks for the advice
edit: to anybody who has the bass pod, how are the built in effects in it. I know compared to regular stomp boxes they probably wouldnt' be as good, but in general, are they decent?
is the GT-6b that much better then the ME-50b?
