I can tune 6th string(E) to c, I can also tune 5th to g and 4th to c, but I can't tune the others.
example: Holding down the 9th fret on the low E and tuning it to A that it's in
c then, but how do I tune the others?(fad)
Hope that makes some sense.

Thanks.

Or get powertabs, tune the instruments in that like that, and then play a string in powertab and tune the string on your guitar like that, etc.

Tune the rest like normal...

Tune the 3rd to the 5th fret of 4
Tune the 2nd to the 4th fret of 3
Tune the 1st to the 5th fret of 2

Because you have already dropped the 4th string it will drop the rest the same amount.

The 6th string is just 2 steps down, and all the others are one step, you should be able to manage that easily enough without a tuner.

it's just so much easier with a tuner...

Go pick at tuner up for 10 bucks.

OR if you wanna save those 10 dollars.. just tune it by ear going down 1 step on each string from standard open tuning. :) But again... 2 steps down on the 6th string.

I have a tuner, it just doesn't really help much unless I'm tuning to standard.
I don't understand very well, still. Isn't there just a way like I tuned the 6th to C? By holding the 9th fret and tuning to A. Just I need something like that with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd strings.

Thanks

Fret each string at the 2nd fret and tune to standard.

When you tune the low E, fret at the 4th fret and tune to standard.

i was gonna flame you but i guess it is in the begginers thread so i wont
cgcfad
in this order
Tune the open low E to the 3rd fret on the A string
Tune the the B string to an open A string
Tune the high E string to an the open D string
Tune the A string to the open g string
Tune the D string to the open low E string (which is now a C)
Tune the G string to the 5th fret on the D string which is now the C string

that should be it sorryf or any mistakes

it is best just to keep practicing your tuning techniques as they are pretty essential.
often one encounters difficulty with drop c becase lots of guitars have a tendency to slip easily out of tune even if you have only just down tuned the string. infact when i detune to drop c, i have a fender mexican strat which is probably why it happens, but i have to down tune about three times before it will let the strings stay at cgcfad. :D

if you have a microphone.
go to www.download.com and search for AP tuner and download it.
that is the most accurate tuner i have ever found. infact you can even play some songs into it and work out the chords for them if you feeling lazy.
