You probably have seen these, although I didn't find any threads. I'm thinking about getting new cymbals. Just wondered what you thought of these? You probs gona shout at me lol, I presume they're just like the ZXT/ZBT series. I don't like the sound of them much. Im going to probably go for A Custom series.
I hope A Customs are good, I'm just looking on Zildjian site to see what sounds I'm going for :). I will post what I might get on this thread later? Cheers guys :S

ZHTs are beginner cymbals, A Customs are top of the line. A's are worlds better.
It's ironic but every zildjian line with a Z in it sucks...

Wrong answer son. K Constantinoples are. Followed by K Custom, K, A Custom, A, Z Custom, ZHT, ZXTi, ZXT, ZBT, Planet Z

I though K's were more $$ than K Customs. Anyway, I wouldn't place a over A Custom nor K custom over K.
Both the original range and the custom series has worlds to offer. And by the way, you all forgot one of Zildjians most interesting and high end lines... Zildjian EFX.
I personally play A Custom, K, and EFX. I'll probably branch into the A's and K Customs once I'm finished creating my original pallette.

Yeh I agree, lol, i just didnt want to get people having a go at me! :p
What do people think of a 17" A Custom Crash with a 20" A Custom Medium Crash. Also 14" A Custom Mastersound Hi Hats. I'm not too sure on a ride, does anyone know what i could get, that would fit nicely in?
Cheers in AdVaNcE

the 17'' crash is good, as are the master sound hats. i've never tried the 20'' crash, and maybe look at some regular A's for a ride, the A Ping ride is sick

the efx line is very weird i remember jamming with a 18'' breakdown ride and i thought that it would never sell because it is so specialised, you could only really use it if you were thinking of making an acoustic kit sound electric bar the oriental range the efx line is just not worth looking into in my opinion

Ooo. So I should get A's instead of A Customs? I'm just looking something i can gig with, instead of crappy ZXT's!!! I really liked the 17"+20" but hey. Any sugestions for a loud, punk/grunge/emo(sadly)/metal ride? Just our band is unique and we play various stuff. Cheers guys

first off dude...go to a store to hear cymbals because no two identical cymbals sounds alike. A Customs are what i use thought. They are bright and shimmering..
but the down side is the are thin and may break sooner than other unless you have good technique.
i have 16 A Custom Fast Crash
18 A Custom Crash
and 20 A Custom Projection Crash

ok thanks guys.
to: a1drumm... I listened to the clips on the Zildjian site, are they not accurate :S what i meant is that they went "well" together. Cos the other cymbals I listened to in A Custom range were either too quiet or didnt ring long enough.
to: fullmeta.... im just going to check those 2 out thanks!!

Hey, I'm stuck between these;
1. 22" A Ping Ride
2. 21" A Sweet Ride
3. 21" A Sweet Ride - Brilliant
2 and 3 ARE NOT because travis uses them, I listened to them and IMO they sounded very crashy/and thundorous! lol Cheers guys [again!]

i'm not the biggest fan of brilliant rides, but the sweet ride and the ping ride are both great, so either way u should be happy

Well I have a ride that sounds identical to the sweet ride (tried it out with the sweet ride and went for mine, just an A 21'' ride) and the sweet ride has much more wash than the ping, I'd say ping for you.

I liked that sound, however, I'm not sure if thats the sound me and my current band are after. The 21" A Sweet Ride (Brilliant). But if there's a cheaper similar version the its a good idea to tell me!:p .
So anyone know cheap dealers with UK shipping? Cheers all you guys !!!

I don't like your Opinion ;). 16 A EFX is what's up next on my cymbal list ( It's probably an A model, but meeh)
And I'm disapointed in your lack of mentioning the FX cymbals DP. :( I'm an official FX whroe ( even though I only have one cymbal from the line )

Ok, how about "Any Zildjian cymbal with a Z in the range name sucks" Would that please you?
Incidentally, this isn't my opinion. I haven't really tried any Z Customs, so I couldn't comment on them.

I've noticed. I used to be like that, but y'know, Z Customs have their place, as do ZBT, ZXT and ZHT. There's no point in ragging on what you haven't tried.
That said, I have tried ZBT. And they're not really that bad. They're the best cymbals any of the kits at my school have, with the exception of some Paiste 404 hats. They're pretty damn tasty.

Yeah, thats true. I have a pair of old 13" K dyno beat tri-hats and the k. they sound great. I dont know about the new ones though.
