the topic pretty much says it :o
my buddy gave me a bunch of free strings from his crappy music store because they stopped carrying bass strings so i got like 7 packs of fender strings (which are actually quite nice) but the gauges are listed oddly like i have a pack that is labeled XL but the gauges are higher than the pack labeled L :o i currently have ultra heavies on there but i cant seem to get the action set how i wanted and theres a damnable dead spot at the 12th fret on the a string that i cant seem 2 get rid of. so i want to go back 2 whatever gauge the strings that were on my G&L when i originally got it were and i cant seem 2 find the information... :d

I'm not answering until you replace each "2" used incorrectly in that post.:-/

Just kidding, but right now I'm thinking that strings labeled "ultra-heavy" are going to have lots of problems. *shrugs*

most basses are
45 65 80 105
id assume it be that way for a former leo bass.

usual sizes are 45, 40, and for the heavy gauges, 50
