I felt like making another vs thread. Has this been done before? I'm not sure.
Do you prefer New Order's Substance collection or Joy Division's Substance? I personally can't decide, but I think I might end up leaning more towards Joy Division's. On the other hand, there's a good chance I might not.
Post which record you prefer and why.
I thought this was gonna be a thread arguing music with real substance vs. music that sounds good when taking illegal substances.
Joy Division

I'm not sure what I'll go with, the JD one has songs I don't like, but the New Order one is massive.

Joy Division
You could always make that thread.

Me too. I suppose you could spin it into a music with substance (New Order) vs someone that could have benefit from more(or at least better) illegal substances (Ian Curtis) but that would have too many words I think.
Plus it's stupid.
Anyway, I vote Dokken or something.
Poll say: MX says NO to New Order.

I prefer Joy Division, but NO's Substance is a better/more comprehensive album.

Tough call. It's going to have to be New Order's though.

I haven't heard either of the Substance collections. In fact, the only album I've heard by either band is Closer. I've had it for a while now and I can't seem to get into it. As far as post-punk goes I much rather Gang of Four.
So I guess that was fairly bloody pointless wasn't it?
