I had around $170 laying around, and decided since my throne sucked balls, I would go and buy myself a nice one (it was $150). In 3 weeks, I'll be purchasing a tama iron cobra powerglide double bass pedal and a leverglide hi-hat stand when I get my check. I also changed my setup from a 5 piece to a 4 piece. Pictures...

"how come ur getting such good pedals for a pad??"

Why not? I still get a similar rebound compared to a normal drumhead, so why not learn on quality pedals?

"when r u taking the pads off and stuff"

When I buy myself a house. :)

"nice setup also and killer throne"

Thanks man.

I have a Roc-n-Soc. Great thrones. Nice kit too. :)

That shows alot to me that you are still dedicated to an instrument even though you have to play under a certain volume (Hence the pads) I respect that alot.

Looks nice man, just maybe move your snare in a little closer to your rack tom, would make fills easier.

Ahhh, a fellow mute user. Welcome to the club. Nice buy on the throne though. Nice choice on the pedals and stuff too man, you'll love the IC's. They're smooth as hell. I'm going to get a lever glide hi-hat stand sometime too.

Thanks man, I actually wanted to play the set for a very long time, but I've been in apartments my whole life. I was searching around MusiciansFriend one day, and saw some mute pads, so I went to Guitar Center and tried them on a set and all was good. :) I'm jealous of everyone here though that can play on a set normally all day though, I hope to be able to do that within a year or two.

I wish I had money "lying around" that I could spend on drum stuff. :( All I spend my money on these days is car insurance and gas.

haha. my friend has that throne, it's definitely comfortable.
