Well I pretty much decided on getting the 20 inch Meinl Dark ride as my main ride. Nice and dark with a good ping. Well I was looking at getting a second ride that had like almost crash capabilities, something that i can shoulder ride with my stick. Well while ii have not tried it I was looking at the Z custon thrash ride. I know ppl here dont like Z too much.
So are there maybe better cymbals tha have the same capabilities as the Z
Trash Ride? Thanks Guys!

Theres the A Sweet ride. The thrash ride is horrible and i have no grudge against Z Custom rides normally.

anything thats not a pingy ride over 20" and medium weight and under will serve your purpose. my choices'd be either:
20" K Crash-Ride,
20" Medium Crash [I use a Paiste Dimensions Raw],
21" A Sweet Ride,
or a Bosphorous 20" Trash Crash [Stanton Moore Sig].

I hate that Z custom Thrash ride. It's awful.
Get a 20" A Sweet Ride or something like that. Or, if you have the cash, go Bosphorus.

What would be better a thinner crash or heavy for what I am looking for? Like maybe a Istanbul Agop Thin Crash?

Try it out, if you like it buy it. If your looking to play more then just metal don't go for Z's, A sweet ride like phil said, very versitile.

If he has the cash? Bosphorus are a lot cheaper than Zildjian.

The thrash sounds like a china, cept it rings forever and for some reason (maybe the weird hammer pattern) it seems to hit your ears like a thousand tiny knives. On the plus side..it's different, i'll give it that much. Sweet rides on the other hand..oh thank god for crash riding :D

hmm.. I just bought a 21" sweet ride off my teacher today. I am very satisfied at the sound, and i got it for $125 almost brand new. But the zildjian logo is a bit faded. im still happy!!:)

Who cares about the logo, you got it almost 60% off and you know the person who sold it to you..score!
