bet it sounds like crap, but it could work well if it was sealed and you bought speakers that would require that exact mesurments for proper tuning

it might, all that the shell really does it stop the sound from bouncing around all over the place. a lot of sub boxes for cars are made from plexiglass and they sound good, flex like a mofo as well
