hey..
has anyone ever played one, or own one (not masterman or w/e)? i am curious about them because i like the body better than the vette and they are less common. ive wanted to play one for quite sometime, but my GC doesnt have ANY wicks :upset:. i havnt tryed the sam ash, but i doubt they would. anyways, plz share any expierence/feedback about them. is it worth going out of my way to try one, or are vettes better?

Fortresses were discontinued pre 97, I think...you'd have to do some digging to get your hands on one. They're phenomenal basses.

Try eBay...eBay works wonders. It has before. :thumb:

I'm actually starting to lose my lust for Warwicks as of late...I have no bass brand I love just a few basses I want.

Fender MIA Deluxe Active Jazz Bass = <3

...and a lot more, including new PUPs for my Stiletto Elite 5.

But yeah, the P/J Fortress is, from what I've heard, an amazing bass but see if anyone on here has played it before...they'll let you know what's up.

Any reason why you don't want the Masterman? Ben has one and loves it.

only reason is i dont care for the finish and that pickup looks like 2 jazzes scrunched on there in a strange spot. the feel would be the same so i dont care about that.. i just want the bridge pup to anchor my thumb as well.. more comfort to me but i guess its not a big deal.

I looove the Fortress.

Balances well, isn't as heavy as other Warwicks, sounds nicer (IMO), and doesn't look horrible.
