Here is Daniel K's Pinch Harmonic 101 lesson thread http://www.sputnikmusic.com/lesson.php?lessonid=115 but if I can remember correctly Dime doesn't do pinch harmonics. I think what you are talking about is a natural harmonic. Do you have a guitar with a Whammy bar?

THeres a lesson somewhere where Dime shows you how he does them. Have a look around.

Hold the pick near and barely scrape the string with the edge of your thumb

thats the annoying way to do it, just don't even think about it, i move the plectrum down my hand randomly without thinking and back up again after. all by itself

also, use lots of bend when doing it, otherwise itl sound too static etc

Has anyone here heard System of a Down's cover of Snowblind? Daron does a bunch of fast pinch harmonics.. it's hard :(

When I do ph's I first get a hot as hell pickup then I hit a natural harmonic, hammer on, then bend the **** out of it, it seems to work really well. After you get the hang of it it becomes almost automatic. Also in that video Dimebag has a reverse whammy bar which helps a ****load but I never really use whammy bars.

COwboys from hell has both, depending on which part you're talking about. The outr has the stuff shown in the video, but one of the riffs in the actual song uses pinch harmonics.
