I was just curious... do you all think it's a good or a bad idea to have more than one crash of the same size (lets say 3 20" crashes?). I was listening to the sabian sound check and i found 3 20" crashes that i like the sound of, but im not sure if they would sound good together or if that would be too large. Thanks!

i wouldent see anything wrong with it if it wernt the same barand...I mean 3 18in A custem crashes would be stupid but a 18 in A, A custem, K would be cool

I fully agree with that and also it depnds on if the sounds blend well or not. If they aren't going to sound good together then don't waste your money

its not a bad idea. 20 is kind of big for riding on though if youre gonna ride the crash you might want to get one 18 and two 20.

Nothing wrong with it at all. If you like the sound of each cymbal then go for it.

It doesnt seem pointless if they have different sounds.

Yeah I think Kainine has two 17inch 2002 paiste crashes. Doesn't sound bad, they sound differrent through different areas of the room etc.

having more than one of the same crash could be good too. If you want easier access to a certain crash just get a second one.

if they sound good then hell get them, they'll sound different and will add more variety to your kit either way.
