Is that an IC? I have a DW 7000, I was thinking about getting an IC but now I really want one, do you like it?

Why should he have bought coated heads? Clear heads are just as good as coated heads, it's all just what kind of sound you want.
Awesome kit man, and setup perfectly.

The cymbals are placed a little too high for my liking but I love the sizes of the toms

Here's the specs...

- 3.5" x 14" Dixon maple snare drum (yes I know it looks like DW)
- 16" x 22" bass drum
Drum Heads
- Remo clear Emperors over Remo clear Ambassadors (toms)
- Evans coated G1 over clear factory snare-side (snare)
- Evans EMAD over factory reso (bass)
Cymbals
- Sabian HHX 16" Stage crash
- Sabian HHX 16" Studio crash
- Sabian B8 18" crash/ride
- Sabian B8 14" hi-hats
Hardware
- All Dixon 900 Series double-braced boom stands
- Dixon 900 Series double bass pedal
- Ludwig standard hi-hat stand, snare stand, and throne
As for your comments... I greatly appreciate them, I'm glad to see that so many of you like my setup. About the heads, I chose clear because I wanted very defined stick attack (plus my last heads were coated), and I just wanted something different to use seeing as this is my first tuning job without RemO Rings (which worked out very nicely). I intend to get coated Emperors next time around. Also, the HHX cymbals are absolutely amazing, and I know they all need a good cleaning. Mind you, they don't sound exactly like the soundcheck on Sabian.com, but that's to be expected. There's also a sweet HHX 22" Groove ride at the local shop, and I waaaant it. Thanks again for the feedback!

I noticed in the photos they look a lot higher than they really are. In actuality, they're not a foot higher than the rack toms.

Nice kit man. I personally just picked up a full set of batters and resos today from Ostaneks (local store to all you outsiders:p) I got coated G1's over clear G1's and Coated G1 for over hazy 300 for snare...NO MORE HYDROS!
oh yeah...i tried out that groove ride too...haha i cant say i like it too much....i much prefer my k heavy:cool:

Awsome kit man. Those HHX's look super sexy, along with the look of fresh clean clear heads.
