does anyone know where i can get a 22 inch black Pearl logo ported front bass drum head? They don't have them on MusiciansFriend or DrumCentral, and i need the port so my guitarist can hear my double pedal over my cymbals. I like the look of the Pearl logo on the front and all the heads they have are only black. I was going to make a port myself, but it will ruin the head and eventually rattle the head apart, unless maybe i duct tape it... well it is still a retarted idea and i don't think i'll try it UNLESS I GET A NEW HEAD!!

Can't you get a regular ebony ported head and just put a pearl sticker on it? Wanting it for the pearl logo is rather foolish might I say also.

or you can be smart and get the EQ3 and forget about the logo. i cant see why you would think the logo looks cool. its just the word pearl, and no one really cares about knowing what companies kit you have.

EDIT:super kick, you dont have to post the same thing 3 times for us to get it. once is enough. and there is an edit button.

What stock heads do Pearl come with?
I assume their own brand but if its a higher up one it will come with brands like Remo, Evans etc.

Maybe if its stock then buy a Remo or Evans or Aquarian, but if not, do it yourself or something.

that is pathetic, i would rather get a good reso head (evans...), insted of a s****y pearl head just for the name! pah!

IMO a blank black head looks better than one with any huge logo on, but that is just me.

What you can do is buy yourself a good Remo or Evans bass head, buy a Pearl sticker, slap that on and buy your favourite sized Holz ring, which will enable you to make your own port. I ported my bass head and it's great :thumb:

THIS PROBLEM IS NOW SOLVED! yeah, no need for a new head, i went to my local music store and ordered a 6 inch chrome ring, and i have an X-acto knife. so it should be in about a week
