I just bought his Rock Bottom album and must I say that it is one of the most beautiful records I have ever heard. For those who have never heard of him, Robert Wyatt was a member of popular British Jazz/Prog bands Soft Machine and Matching Mole, but didn't begin his solo career until he became paralyzed from the waist down after drunkenly falling from a third story window. He began recording music to cope with his accident and created a hypnotic psychadelic/jazz style.

I've heard of him, but do not know him. Altough my dad owns a couple of his albums.

I'll have to give them a listen.

Sounds interesting. I've only heard Soft Machine records and a solo album by another member, Kevin Ayers. But that's nice stuff. I think i'll check it out.
