I hate Sigur Ros fans. They turned a fifteen minute drive into a two-hour borefest when they played the Hollywood Bowl. They turned me off Sigur Ros, and I'll do anything to get out of listening to their music.
What's their most accessible album?

Can you recommend any songs off that album?
Flugufrelsarinn, Hjartað hamast, Ný batterí, Olsen Olsen, Starálfur, Svefn-g-englar, Viðrar vel til loftárása.
That's almost the entire album though.

Ágætis Byrjun is the best. Hands down.
Not to say that the rest is bad, I really like all of their albums (although I haven't heard all of Von, just a few songs when I was first listening to them and downloaded songs at random). I think Takk is better than ( ) though.
I saw them in concert for the second time yesterday, and man, it was good stuff. If you ever get a chance to see them in concert, go. It will blow you a way. For a band that is so "ambient" they really rock in concert. They put on an amazing show.

You saw them in Columbus?
I was there too.
I thought the standing was great... but of course, I was there super early and was standing right in the middle, at the little upper level where there was the metal divider thing to lean on... It was a perfect spot. Not too far away, right in the center, no one in front of me. Awesome.
Untitled 8 at the end of their set is by far the standout thing from both of the times I've seen them. The lights and the screen and everything... ****ing insane. What an amazing feeling.
Do you all dig their openers/string quartet Amina? I think they're pretty decent, and mostly just really sweet/cute. I couldn't resist buying the EP.

I've got Takk, I've been meaning to get my hands on their earlier stuff. They are coming to Australia soon, it'll be good to catch them live. From hoping to sell 1500 records in Iceland an sticking the sleeves together themselves to selling 400,000 worldwide with one of their earlier LP's, which one exactly i'm not sure, could have been their first. Great atmospheric music.

These guys got so popular so suddenly... this is probably the only big band I was a huge fan of before they became well known. I think it might have happened when they were meant to go on tour with Radiohead, so their name kind of got pinned to big titles.
I have all their cds and I've seen them live, and are to see them live twice more within the next couple of months.
They're just great to listen to... I don't see what's inaccessible about any of their cds, but I suppose Takk is the most pop-rock-ish of all of them.
Right now I'm just in love with Glosoli. The whole speeding up with the crescendo practically makes me wet myself with excitement. And I love the video.

i'm currently trying to get hold of the ( ) album. the torrents are all dead, so i asked in a forum i post at: http://www.systemwars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84214
the megaupload link posted was good, but there's a password to the zip  - the thread where he found that link was deleted, so he doesn't know the password either.
i googled the album and found this thread, which is locked: http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=349238&
that upload was a yousendit link, so i couldn't use that.
so basically, i'm asking for somebody either to upload or point me in the direction of an upload. i know i only have one post, but if you spend about one minute browsing that site i posted a link to, you can be pretty confident i'm genuinely looking for music and not trying to get anyone into trouble.
