Haha, snapped ****ers. Got your attention no?

This is the next installment in my series of inebriated self-indulgent threads. Yes, good.

I'm heading back up to u-ni-ver-si-ty tomorrow (am.) so I'll be absent for few weeks, possibly months. I'm letting ya'll know this cuz I'll be pissed off if i return and this place has turned all feminine again. It's not fun guys.

I'm going to rant, PAY ATTENTION.

The Mint Chicks - niggas be releasing a new album soonish. It'll be pretty bad but most of you (fans I mean) will like it, though I hope this isn't the case.

Deerhoof - Because of idiocy I'm miassin these guys perform tonight. gay. They'll continue to get coverage and press favours etc.. this is a good thing becayuse the world needs deerhoof and bands of the same ilk.

Wilco - The best band in America (lets face it, america = the world). Don't know what they';ll do this year, bhut I hope it involves new material. Please, please keep an eye on them because I believe they;re about to break. get on the bandwagon now (it left years ago, but there;s still room).

Hot Snakes - DVD out sometime this year. fan****ingtastc if you ask me.

Clap Your Hands Say yeah - These guys are crap, but I like the attention that they're getting/have gotten. the internwet rules.

Flaming Lips - The new album is good, so get bent.

Drive be Truckers - Best band in america. Oh wait, that's Wilco. **** it. This band is massive and they need love.

The Drones - Mmmmmmm, aren't you glad that they (by they I mean me) exist. Look for new album before September, it'll be the goods. They;re touring yankyland sometime soon so you guys should go see them. Think they're playinmg with the Pony's in chicago, go see them.

The Ponys - Speak of the devil. Listen to them and start a fanclub, this is a band about to break out of indie land. **** Albini, they can do it themselves!

Post rock - wtf is this anyway? But looky here, post rock = prog rock. Noone liked prog rock except for people interested in sci-fi, maths and obscurity (sic). So yeah, it should die by the end of '07. Wanker, you're excused.

Now remember, the Boss isn't a pussy. Live your life him and you'll all turn out right.

Have a good year guys n' girls. You know I'm a tender being deep down inside. Thank you for giving me your valuable time (that's a nod to you Orb).

Nacho, close this. (old school baby, old school)

Mint Chicks aren't anything special. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is good because their music is sort of childish and fun without being annoying, kind of like Boy Least Likely To, and I think that's what makes them great. The Drones blow. And post rock is great.

You should really should attempt to pull away from being "pitchfork's bitch" as your user title suggests. Suggestions are fine, but false, P-fork manufactured opinions are bad.

Thanks for excusing me, I guess. Have fun at Uni.

And dead by '07, eh? Maybe if Godspeed doesn't come out with a new album by then...

Wilco just came out with a new live album didn't they? Is it any good?

And Post Rock dead by '07? Pfft. Pfft I say.

Because it's impossible to like either band without being a blind follower of Pitchfork.

Post-rock, like prog rock, will always have adherents. Long after it goes dinosaur. I'm not one, but that's just the way it works. Have fun at Uni.

Wilco the best band in America? Pfffttt. That's like saying Shihad are the best band in New Zealand.
