Just out of interest Jim, have you ever considered foot percussion?

Apart from cowbells and clave blocks what percussion peice would you most reccomend?

I use some left foot stuff, I really like using the tambourine or even the big jam block down there.

Also you could try something like an 8" mini timbale mounted down there, that would be a great effect!!

Thats great to hear, I'm glad I inspired you in a good way.

The timbale ideas interesting. No doubt the lang meister already did it. I noticed he had an octoban kick? I did one try a 13" bass :p didnt work too well.

Double Bass Jim

Thanks for the nice words

Yeah my name seems kinda of deciving, alot of people think I'm some kind of metal player simply because of "double bass" in my title. I've been influenced by older players a lot more then anything else. As far double bass playing goes good ol' LB inspries me the most. And for everything else Palmer, barriemore barlow, old phil collins, buddy ect ect. More modern guys like weckl and the "freaks" like vince inspire me as well.

I'll get some specs up later, that takes A LOT of typin!

jim, which recordings have the wuhans?
Only the peart style one, most of these are pretty old.
