I'm sure there is a plausible reason, but I dont have privileges to post new threads. I'm far too lazy to read the rules, so i'm sure it's in there somewhere.

I'm a drummer. Im 23 years old. Been playing for going on 5 years. I play no other instrument, as the skins are my love. I play a 5 piece refinished Export, set up as a 4 piece, you can find:

I've played in a "metal" band for about 1.5 years in Nashville called Jhanke. You can find some mp3's on the bands Myspace here. (http://www.myspace.com/jhanke) I am no longer with this band due to differences in musical style.

Now, my reason for posting is, I am looking for like-minded individuals, with a similar taste in music and style as my own, to start a band. I dont like the idea of joining an existing band, as I want to set my own flavor without influencing an existing band to change.

I am looking for all musicians. My ideal group would consist of:

Vocalist (no screaming). Singing only, and you must, and I mean MUST not suck.
1-2 Guitar players. I'll decide after I find the 1st.
Bass player. I prefer to lay song structure with a bass player before other instruments are layered. With a good foundation, any player has a clean canvas for his art.
Keyboard player. I dont want solo's. I want ambience, I want backdrop. i want the keys to blend with the guitars in such a way that it sounds like the same instrument.

I know I sound picky. I know I sound anal about want I want. But its what I want. I've been through a successfull/failed band experience before. I want 4 other "me's" to enjoy and write music with. Conflicting musical tastes is not something I want to deal with. if you listen to rap/hip-hop/country/radio garbage, look elsewhere. but I dont want that influence in my music. I want to write music for musicians and people who genuinly love music, not music for the masses.
