I have found a very punky metallica instrumental. Unreleased, very rare.
Heard that before, and dunno if it's metallica. But I've heard some other stuff, unreleased, with James singing, so this might be Metallica.

how many days did it take to record the album compared to others ... (dont count james' absence which stopped recording) .... and lars is a good drummer ... i dont like his personality ... his snare is just stuffed and the producers could have fixed that up easily ...

Lars is the reason it all started. So, hating him is a bit rude. He might be a wanker but who cares unless he writes good music???
And so many people said that Lars is a bad drummer. He might be one (I don't know, I play geeeeetar) but people have to realise that compared to other drummers he's also a very good composer. And he's been fronting the band since day one.
So, those who insult him.........PLEASE DIE !
I liked the last line of that but i couldn't help but notice near the beginning of your post you can lars a wanker???? lol does that line apply to you??

Actually I'm a half drummer (used to be a drummer) and I'm sure with a few months more practice, I could play as well as Lars. Lars is nothing special as a drummer, although I do like his sense of music writing. He knows exactly how the drum part should sound, and when it should be highlighted. The drumming in MOP or RTL (songs, not albums) or the double bass on Dyers Eve or FFWF are prime examples.
BTW, you know how it says Lars is always a factor in music writing, does that mean he makes up guitar riffs, or he just offers his opinions about the ones James makes?

I think his additions to the making of a song has more to do with his criticism. Like you said he lets you know what he's thinking 100% of the time. He wont let you have a song that sounds like crap to him.

Nice bit of propaganda.
How about mentioning he fact he took the responsibility of trying to fill in for Cliff's shoes while knowing the fact whiny bitches like the fans would not accept this, even though it is because of him Metallica did not cease to exist. Jason was a much bigger factor to Metallica than just his music, which rocked hard IMO. Stop generalizing this **** to make a silly unimformed point, stripping an innocent man of his pride. Jason was bullied consantly on by the ENTIRE world and the monsters of Metallica. Even wanna know how that feels? Rob got lucky, Metallica went into self-therapy and realized this critical mistake and helped to it. But jason, nu-uh. That man is the reason I even bothered to download (so evil :D) the Metallica's videos post Cliff. His performance and the way he replaced the jigsaw piece of Cliff in the puzzle being Metallica was amazing. What he could not make up in music playing (supposedly he is a very good bassit, but Metallica limited his creativeness and just kept him to playing a simple rythm bass, quote me on this if you want, its true), he made up in performance.

Close, but I supported Dave for putting up with the **** metallica put him through. So actually not close at all :thumb: I'll try to find it.
found main stuff. bolded anything i bothered reading that was close to my point.
(metallica bashing time (sort of))
Wow, what was that entire attack on Warlock?? Sure he did push it coming into a metallica thread full of non-admiting but self-hating fan boys (most of you are, considering you can't handle a minor opinion or second theory from a faceless stranger on the net), trying to promote an OPINION (something im sure he "forgot" to mention). Never really a big fan of Megadeth, I was never bothered to find out much about Dave apart from what I know about his history in Metallica. Of course, that bit of BIASED info is that hes a really dick.
Thing is, I'm open minded (forgive the self praising) and i can accept the fact that what i think is WRONG because i have only read into one side of the opinion, force fed by Metallica (coincidently Daves opposing band) so any opinion i lay about Dave will be half true. Knowing all of this, I still think hes a dick.
But everyone else.... They are NOT open minded to their own attitude. This is how you're supposed to act (think of it as brainwashing) courtesy of Metallica. Metallica is a great band and has great musicians, but they have grown attatched to their fame and money IMO. Thinking of it from a different way, imagine James and Lars sitting on a chair, laughing and drinking and smoking $100 cigars pointing at people bashing Dave regardless of the truth or such. Enjoying the fun, the defect they've taken advantage of. Metallica are self admitting assholes, and proud also. The chance that they actually did do that scenerio IMO is way more than the chance they didn't do that. Metallica aren't some innocent band members faced by evil Dave whos out to get them because thats how Dave wants to spend 20 years of his entire life, fighting a non sensical issue. People generalize way to much on the stuff that matters, and look way too much into stuff that has little influence over anything.
Metallica are NOT innocent when it comes to thing like fame, popularity etc. eg. lars stole the name metallica. Oooh, but what fanboy wants to raise that issue? No matter what they say, they sold out to commercialist ways of life (videos, radio). They can say whatever (we weren't ready), but the outrightly contradicted their principles, all for money.
And people believe every word they say, all in the love of MOP and FTB.
You're practically spelling it out yourself, FAN BOYS.
This of course does not apply to most of you. Only people that will do what they're "meant" to do like robots. Metallica pays thousands of dollers to make people act like that, to make them their bitches. This sounds like a TOK essay (theory of knowledge).....
Lots of people don't think logically when it comes to dealing with issues that don't involve them.
Theres way more to the Dave/James issue that no one will ever know, and frankly, its none of our business.
Get out of your sugar coated metal dream and realize whats actually probably (contradictry...) going on.

Jason did play on AJFA, they started auditions the day after Cliff's funeral. The Burtons told Metallica it's what their son would have wanted. Bob Rock also wasn't the produced until the Black Album.

cliff played his bass like its a guitar which is amazing > jason is a brilliant bassist and has kiked major *** while he was in metallica > rob is gd with his speed n funk/wah solos, i saw him live i no wot im talkin about. hes a briliant bassist but not compared to jason and cliff

On March 9th I'm becoming 20...............shi, I'm getting old :upset:
So, I already started receiving money from relatives and friends and I'm thinking about buying these CDs:
Metallica - Garage Inc, Reload, SKOM, 2 Years in Life of Metallica and S&M missing to complete my 'tallica CD/DVD collection
Megadeth - Peace Sells
Bush - Sixteens Stone
Husker Du - Zen Arkade
Yngwie Malmsteen - Attack !
Angelwitch (if I manage to find any CD of them)
QOTSA - Songs For The Deaf
Also, I'm not rich ! I'm from a little ex-soviet country so everthing costs very cheap here as compared to your (US, Europe) prices.
For example in dollars, a CD (with booklet/lyrics if included) here costs about 2,5 dollars. A DVD costs about 6 dollars.
And I already recieved 40 dollars as a present from my older sister. :naughty:
Going to visit some record stores this week :naughty:

Musicians change guitars during live shows constantly to obtain a guitar of different tuning, to have tech staff repair broken strings, etc. It's a fact of playing live.

So did you see Rob on stage this past tour? I've seen Jason DVD's and Rob live and I'm going to have to say your wrong on your last point. I think it was ok for him to spread out and get things out he couldn't in Metallica
Im gonna have to disagree with that and say Lloyd Grant. He was useless.

And I am going to disagree with you. There are many questions that can be asked, all leading from one major question,"What if Cliff never died?"
What makes you think there would be no black album and no ajfa? They might have been better. Did you really hear ANY bass riffs on ajfa? Cliff was a better bassist than Jason. And we'll check out this new album to see what Rob can do.

He had no soul? Hey, I guess him running around the stage 30 times every 2 minutes and headbanging EVERY song (except possibly Fade to Black), whether he had long hair or not at the time, hey, I guess that doesn't count as soul. I guess his take-over of vocals during songs isn't soul, yeah?
As someone else said, side projects does not equal disrespecting the band.
I think that Jason vs. Rob in case of stage presence could be a segment-by-segment basis, because sometimes Rob will do the crabwalk and play to the crowd, and sometimes he just stands there. Sometimes Jason stood there and did the windmill, and sometimes he just stood there playing with a blank look on his face (Example: S&M, Outlaw Torn, about 30 seconds before Kirk's solo)

Ya, the bass was pretty much non existent in AJFA. I don't think that was really Jason's fault though. He did his part, they just chose to basically drown it out. I feel sorry for Jason for how badly he was treated when he was with Metallica. That mtvicon production really opened my eyes toward how much he had to go through.
he was such a retard and he had no soul while playing just he was just with the band for money and as soon as he made his wealth he wanted to do projects with other bands disrespecting the rest of the band.
Metallica never gave him an oppurtunity to write, maybe twice or thrice did he ever really contribute anything. It was kinda like "You just play what we write, and look good!" for the whole time he was in Metallica Jason put on some magnificent performances.
Just have a look at any of the DVDs which include Jason, he's always putting in effort. If he was in the band just for money, I don't think he'd try so hard.
When he left Metallica, I think he saw them as a sinking ship and took the oppurtunity to jump before they brought him down too, people make mistakes.
I always saw Jason *trying* to fit in, but no one would let him.
Just after the big show of pyrotechnics in Cunnining Stunts, for example. When they're all talking about Kirk's wizbang awesome looking guitar, James says something, and everyone gets off, but then when Jason says something, no one reacts. *By the way, I haven't seen the concert in a while, someone who has recently seen it, please refresh that, it doesn't seem right.
I don't think people saw Jason as a full band member, but rather as a part time replacement.

The thing that should not be
Harvester of Sorrow
The struggle within
Battery
Master of puppetz
Fixxxer
53rd and 3rd (Unreleased)
and Fuel
I thinks its pretty much impossible to pick ONE song! They are all just so awesome, from the drum solos/Bass solos, to the kick *** guitar solos (Excluding ST Anger as there are no guitar solos) of course....
I find the songs that have the most meaning to be are:
Fade to Black
Sanitarium
One
Holier Than Thou
But as far as my favourite songs go:

Hey, Burningjesus, take a look at your band Metallica. Know how they were thrash at the beginning? Know where they got that attitude? PUNK. Thrash metal is punk attitude and speed mixed with rock elements, IIRC. Step off your high horse and stop thinking that Green Day and Good Charlotte are the epitomy (SP?) of punk, douche.
Greenday and Good Charlotte are not the epitomy of punk at all.
They have the wrong attitde and the wrong sound.
Both are classed as pop punk because their sound borrows an awful lot from the pop genre.
If you want to know about Punk, then talk to Dboon's Ghost.

Ok, so you don't like Metallica's music anymore, fair enough.
Other people in here do, respect their opinions.
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is ****.
Also, please try to type coherently as it makes it an awful lot easier to understand what you are saying and also give a better opinion of yourself.

I hate nearly all the Load and most of the garage solos so I will not think of them :)...
From Whom The Bell Tools the whammy stuff in the end(If you'll call that a solo)
Fight Fire With Fire - Doesn't Really sound like a solo... just a bounch of nodes
Blitzkrieg - when does it start?
Leper
03-01-2005, 01:14 PM
The thing that should not be. I think i've stated this before in that i love the song, but the solo just sounds kirk tried to fit something in, but just failed miserably.

The wah was abused a lot on the Black Album, so i'm just going to say most of that album.

start making sense, now. Master of Puppets is one of their heaviest songs, IMO.
and no, the hardcore fans like whatever they want. the hardcore fans buy there albums and listen to them, not each hardcore fan is required to like the first three albums. and the 4th is great too

If you have 0 or negitive rep, your rep doesn't affect other users.
And you don't get banned for having major neg rep.

So do you get banned for good when your rep hits rock bottom or what?
no you can get neg rep because EVHRocks has -273 or some thing like that. I mean that for an example if you hand out 3 rep it won't get lower than that
you just get banned for breaking rules and stuff, not for posting things people don't like.
well my rep didn't count for anything about a week ago, i now have 52

However most posts that are worthy of a negative rep are usually breaking the rules as well as pissing people off.
