Does anyone think Metallica will be able to make a comeback with their new album? Or will it be as bad as St Anger :upset: Personally i dont think they should make music anymore at all. They should have quit while they were ahead. I guess if they're not quitting i can only hope for the best with the new album.

They might as well keep going, they'd hardly be quitting while they were ahead would they?

I don't know if Metallica's next record will be very good. but I'm sure before they retire, they will make a last album that will be the best metal/trash/speed album of all times ! and probably will be named Metal Up your A$$, as James wanted when he was 18.
watch Metal Militia from cliff em all. James talks about it there

Guys...I'm sorry to get a little off topic here but I can't get the part to Fade to Black fast enough where it starts on the 15th fret on the B string a little bit after the 2nd guitar comes in soloing or Kirk....I have been trying to build up the speed on that and Master Of Puppets for over a month and it seems I just can't....

Hardest solo: Fight fire with fire, no question. i know how to play one solo, master of puppets solo, sanitarium solo, all these other ones, but the one i havent got is the fight fire with fire solo. best solo ever period. St. anger plummeted. it could have been so much better, bob rock that dick head had to ruin it. it was going to have solos and everything to it , but no, says bob rock the ****. thats al i gotta say cause im tired of typing>

Who does his refer to ? especialy seeing as both Kirk and James have multiple ESP guitars.
i am refering To Kirks Black Esp. The kh-4 or something like that
I have the cheap crappy version of it that i got for $450. Compared to most other guitar for that much it is pretty good.

To me James is the face of the band. No one would care about Rob beacuse the onle album he did was aparently the 'worst one ever' accorinding to many fans.
of course rob could leave and no one would give a ****, but kirk is the most important member, followed by james

I'm going to see them this friday the 4th of june!!! :D ...man it's about time i've waiting for this for too long...11 years or so....i'm so f***in' exited!!!!BTW has anyone ever seen a 'tallica show?...LIVE not on tv i've seen many on my wonder box :p ...tell me about the experience
yeah, i saw them at the la coliseum, and they kicked a$s, even though we weren't that close, and i wanted to get pit tickets, but my friend was a fraid cuz hes a pu$$y, and they rocked, but limp bizkit, linkin park, mudvayne and deftones, but i didnt see mudvayne cuz i got there late. linkin park and deftones sucked, and limp bizkit was ok, but they got booed for covering some metallica songs. at metallica, it was dark and crap, and all 50,000 of the crowd members with lighters held them up and lit them. my friend saw them front row at the forum, though, and i wanted to go with him but couldn't get a ticket, dammit

Hi I'm hot. 310 247 8787. Call me. Arrrggghhh. Metallica sucks. So does Nirvana, Ac-dc and Jimi Hendrix. led Zeppellin, however, takes the cake for sucking the most. Hmm..I think I got it on my old computer. When did you download it. I downloaded it when I locked for new demos for St. Anger so I thought it was for that. I did a search on google and someone in another forum said Metallica and Megadeth made that song together. Hard to believe, actually...

Any ideas when they'll play England again ?

Indeed.
What's your favorite sung moment - doesnt have to be the LYRICS but the WAY Hetfield sings it.
Surprisingly mine is off St. Anger, in The Unnamed Feeling when he sings *Cross my heart hope not to die..* etc, just the way he shouts it and it rings out across the room. It's very very powerful.
Or, the Outlaw Torn when he moans/ shouts and now i'm torn.

Also whats your faveorite song moment ? could be one instrument or a combination of them, What springs to mind at the moment for me is,
In Orion when the weird *echo* guitar plays over the main riff,
The *We chew then spit you out* riff in Damage Inc,
The last minute of Call of the Ktulu,
The breakdown riff and last two sad verses in Fade to Black,
The entirety of Creeping Death :thumb:
I'll post more later.

i wonder what was going through there minds when they were creating songs on the st. anger album, how many people here like st. anger album or just like one or two songs on it?
i have heard most of them, but none of them stick out :upset:
Ok to begin if you've noticed the lyrics are different than james\ulrich standards because james had his alcohol problem and got back just after KIRK HAD WRITTEN the lyrics hence why there is an absence of solo's ( apparrently this album was whipped together very quickly so there was no elaboration period) i believe this is true but if im mistaken please correct this

There's only 2 St. Anger songs in a show MAX.
Nah, I think they've played 3 or 4.

Anesthesia's not great. However he deserves the recognition for Orion alone.

In my opinion, I find it quite dull.
Its undeniably a great demonstration of personal ability on Cliff's part though.

The last minute of Call of Ktulu is one of the most powerful moments in music history.

Yeah, tht deff is. they maybe shuld of included it more earlier in the song, tht could of been cool. i love the way on orion, wen it completly changes mood. they do tht on a few others aswell.
