Seems like its BitchFest 2006 come early. Everyone is flaming everyone else for the dumbest reasons. This place was actually pretty decent when I first came here. If its not <insert drummer name> haters, its the newbie bashers. For all our sakes grow up and stop using the internet as an excuse to be an a$$hole.
Why don't we all take a step back and remember why we're here?

To have fun and talk constructively about drumming & percussion. Right?

Anyway, there has always been flaming going around and while I admit that I flame the noobs once in a while its only for their benifit. Another thing is that most the argueing(not flaming) happens because these boards are slowly dying and people are trying to come up with ways to entertain themselfs. You are right but this won't reslove anything but flaming isn't complete wrong because you sometimes need to flame to get a point across(who knows if I was never flamed I might still would like Lars).

Psh, yeah, I remember when people didn't get extremely pissed off or rude whenever you had a simple question. But I do agree with the purpose of this thread, come on people, wake up, get real. Not everyone in this universe knows how to put a snare strainer back on, or how to tune. And if people get on their cases, like I have seen many a time, you for one, make them feel like an idiot, and two, discourage them from playing drums and asking questions, which in turn will lead them to continually do things wrong and maybe do some damage, i.e. bad tom angles lead to sooner wrist damage. So like I said, we must keep in mind that not all people on this forum have been playing for 15-20 years. Some people haven't even been playing for a week, so if they say that, then be reasonable, be at least a bit pleasant to the n00bs and give CONSTRUCTIVE critiscism, not flaming comments towards them.
